For collectors of Fleischmann, especially the HO scale,
not many reference books are available. The famous
collectors book of Mikado is dated 1989. Since then no
update was released.
At the end of 1999 the
Alkado was released in Denmark. This book, in the German
language, is set in A4 format and begins where the
Mikado stopped. Meanwhile, this guide has released
several new editions. The latest dates from 2014.
In 2003, the publisher Dr. Hut in Munich release new
guides for Fleischmann-HO on the market. The little
books were first classified by epoch, then in a smaller
size for each kind of equipment. In 2008 there was an
unfortunate end to this great expenditure.
None
of all guides holds the complete HO-assortment of
Fleischmann. That's one the reasons why I decided some
years to build my own Fleischmann-HO Database. All
information about the locomotives, coaches, goods
wagons, etc were and are still collected.
The
Fleischmann-HO Database holds all recorded products from
1952 to the present. In the database you will find all
models produced by Fleischmann, including 658 steam
locomotives, 200 diesel locomotives, 223 electric
locomotives, 184 rail cars, 143 coaches and weagons of
the start series, 986 passenger coaches, 1582 goods
wagons, 135 train sets, 18 passenger coach sets, 91
goods wagon sets and 132 start sets (position October 1,
2010).
The German models are arranged by epoch
(era). The other European railways can be found under
the menu item "Europe & USA.
The database is
displayed in list format. The order numbers are sorted
by the original number and any derivative digital,
limited or AC models can be found direct with it.
For example with order number 4160 you will also find
the numbers 6 4160 (digital version), 91 4160 1996 and
4160 (limited editions), and also the 1160 (AC version).
The Fleischmann HO Database can be consulted in
three languages, Dutch, English and German. Each
database is a language-specific search engine active.

You can also download the
Fleischmann-HO Database as a PDF document. You can save
the document on your hard drive and if desired, print it
on paper.
