June 2019 - Modelleisenbahn GmbH closes Heilsbronn.

The Austrian Modelleisenbahn GmbH, owner of Fleischmann and Roco, closes the last German factory of its traditional Franconian subsidiary Fleischmann in Heilsbronn.
At the end of May, another 18 employees were involved in the construction of products on a 1: 160 scale. Their duties are now being moved to other locations of the company, according to Modelleisenbahn GmbH.

At the same time, FM Dienstleistungs GmbH filed for bankruptcy, which included the activities in Heilsbronn. Various business processes need to be streamlined for the benefit of the business group, the company said.

The court of Ansbach has appointed Mechthild Bruche as the bankruptcy trustee. The Nuremberg lawyer did not want to give up hope for the location. Production will be maintained in Heilsbronn until the end of July and salaries will be secured.
