May 2022 - Catching up - the Fleischmann catalog 1970.

There was no representative digital copy of the 1970 catalog in the archives of Fleischmann-HO.nl. Thanks to a member of the HO Database, we can now present a neat catalog. Don't be alarmed by the prices; these are in Belgian Francs!

On the front of the catalog there's actually the only novelty from 1970; the tank locomotive ANNA. This small steam locomotive would be seen inthe catalog for years to come and can be found in many starter sets. In various versions this locomotive lasted until 2010.

Among the carriages we find only three new carriages of the DRG; a postal carriage and two two-axle carriages (order numbers 5050, 5051 and 5052). The freight wagons also have only a few novelties, a cleaning wagon with a tarpaulin (5569) and the four-axle fine bulk solids silo wagon from "Bayern Zement" under the order number 5480.
The American-style drivers can add three more cars to their collection; a high gondola (5701) and two four-axle boxcars (5810 and 1511).
