October 2023 - Fleischmann catalogue 1980.
This year the cover features the electric locomotive 120 002-1 and the diesel railcar 614 064-2.
The only novelty among the locomotives is the steam locomotive from the series 80, (order number 4020) of the Deutsche Bundesbahn.
Fleischmann releases the Profi Starter Set 6360 for new starters in this hobby. Not to be confused with the Profi rails, which were not available yet. This extensive set consisted of the diesel shunting locomotive 261 199-3 of the German Federal Railroad, a Wyhlen crane car, two freight wagons and a set of rails including two switches.
Among the passenger coaches we find a number of three-axle ex-Prussian coaches of the SNCF, the French railways. Two 3rd class compartment coaches and a baggage car.
New four-axle coaches can be found under order numbers 5084/5/6/7. These coaches are from Era II and belong to the Deutsche Reichsbahn Gesellschaft. This concerns a baggage coach, two 2nd class and one 3rd class coach.
Modern coaches can be found under order number 5161, a TEE/IC 1st class passenger coach, and under number 5165, a TEE/IC “Quick-Pick” dining car. We also find an IC passenger coach with electronic end lighting under number 5199.
New freight wagons are the 5208 and 5209, both open freight wagons, the 5351, a green tool wagon and the 5218, the small 2-axle pit wagon. Two double-decker car transporters are supplied as 4224 (without cars) and 5225 (equipped with four passenger cars). Loose goods can be transported with the 4-axle swing roof wagon 5388.
Two double slips are added to the rail material (6065 and 6066). A new distant and a home signal (6201 and 6202) and a switch panel for the signals (6928) complete the range of rails and accessories.
