November 2024 - Fleischmann catalogue 1984.

On the cover we see the 89 7462. A model of the “T 3”, series 89 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn Gesellschaft (era II).
This model was one of the novelties in 1983.

One of the big surprises for this model year was the introduction of the tender locomotive from the series 65. As a representative of the era III, there was the 65 018 (order number 4065). In the first edition, the Kraus-Maffei shield was depicted on a blue background, later this was corrected to a white background.
Under order number 4179, the tender locomotive from the series 50 could be found, now equipped with a tub tender.

The range of diesel locomotives from the series 218 was further expanded with the version in the TEE colors (4234). Among the electric locomotives, the ocean blue/beige 111 205-1 (4348) was the novelty. The locomotive could be used in era IV.

New carriages were the 5078 (Mitropa dining car), 5102 (express train baggage car, DB) and the 5656 (express train car, NS). Most attention was paid to the "Umbauwagen" 5127, 5128 and 5129. With this, Fleischmann set a new milestone in terms of design and details.

Various freight cars, including the refrigerated cars 5320, 5324 and 5328 and the cattle car 5364, completed the novelties for 1984.
